There are “perfect” dogs and then there are dogs that could use a little help – some obedience training perhaps. Or help with barking, biting, separation anxiety, aggression, phobias or socialization. Maybe you just got a puppy that needs house-training or learning manners to avoid problem behaviors.

The best dog obedience training works with the owner and the pet together. Using behavior-changing tools like positive reinforcement, clickers, collars, treats and other methods, trainers find the pet’s greatest potential and help draw it out.

Dog Coach Academy is here to help, and it all starts when you apply for a place in our classes.

Good Dog School

Positive reinforcement training is a science and research-based method. The methods I use are approved by Veterinary Behaviorists. Almost any dog can learn through this gentle, supportive, method of training.  Most dogs will respond with good voluntary behavior and bond with their owners, who learn to train them in non-threatening ways.

Step One: Apply to the Dog Coach ACademy

Complete our pre-evaluation and application questionnaire to determine if there are underlying behaviors that may interfere with training.  Together, we’ll find solutions to best suit you and your dog. Includes information packet and vaccination records processing.

$20/non-refundable

Step Two (Optional): Comprehensive Evaluation

This is an additional opportunity your trainer may suggest based on the pre-evaluation.  A comprehensive evaluation where you and your trainer observe and discuss any challenges or barriers that interfere with training will lead to your pup being the happiest it can be. This is not always recommended or needed, and it can make a lot of difference going forward.

Step Three: Private Training

Private dog training offers you personalized attention to outline your training goals and select a plan based on what you and your pet needs.  By using reinforcement-based, Fear-Free training, we can create an understanding of what your dog is expressing to you and how to work together to achieve a more joyful companionship
